Introduction
Nurserve is a dedicated web site that enables Nursing Professionals to access any nursing related information they require for both their professional and social needs.

Nurserve has been designed using information and ideas taken from a number of different recruitment markets, nursing web sites and organisations. The benefit for the nursing community is that the majority of information that a nursing professional or a potential nurse would require is readily available and more importantly easily accessible on the Nurserve site.

Nurserve has identified through market research and discussions with nurses a number of key information areas that are important to individual nurses and have listed these in groupings so that they're easily located and identifiable for the user.

Organisations can use Nurserve as an advertising medium and platform for promoting nursing based services. Due to the concentration of all relative information on the site, targeted advertising will benefit from opportunistic viewing. Although nurses may visit the site to obtain a certain type of information they will invariably be curious as to what other information or services are listed. This enables organisations to have access to a wider range of nursing professionals rather than hit and miss approach of more limited traditional media.

Other benefits of the site are the search engines that allow users to access information that is specific to their own individual needs. Rather than relying an individual to see an advert while scanning through lots of irrelevant information that is not of interest, the search engines will identify the information depending upon what criteria is important to that individual. This process reduces the time taken to locate the information and therefore allows an individual more time to access other areas of the site.

Employment - Back to Menu
Nurserve allows nursing professionals an easy but effective method when searching for both Permanent and Temporary employment across regions and national locations.

Nurserve operates one of the largest vacancy databases and provides organisations from NHS Trusts to Nursing Homes with a cost-effective medium for advertising their current vacancies.

The search engine is designed for individuals who are not computer experts and who do not have a unlimited amount of time to scroll through vacancy details that are not relevant to their experience. By identifying and entering key attributes, Nurses can locate positions, briefly check their details and then expand the information to consider the vacancy more closely. This saves individuals a significant amount of time and is more specific to their individual needs and personal requirements.

As Nurserve is designed for both Permanent and Agency positions many Nurses will access the site with a primary interest, either to look for permanent or Contract work. This provides an ideal opportunity for both nurses and organisations as individuals may consider another form of employment to the one they are looking for and organisations will benefit from opportunistic viewing of their adverts. Individuals who view vacancies in this way are the most ideal candidates for recruiting. They rarely have considered moving employment and therefore when they respond to a vacancy listing they are only interested in that position. Usually these types of individuals do not even possess an up to date CV and therefore we have included a CV template for them to use.

CV Template - Back to Menu
CVs are one of the most important aspects in the job application process. The CV is responsible for giving a prospective employer an understanding and appreciation an individuals experience and background. However it must be stressed that the CV is responsible for gaining an invitation to an interview. A prospective employer will usually have a large selection of CVs to read through and has not got time to read thoroughly all the CVs that are submitted.

The Nurserve CV is designed so that key and core skills are highlighted at the top of the employment details, this enables a reader to identify the skills that and individual has with the skills that are required. Once identified and with approval of qualifier, the CV should be included on the short list. It is then down to the individual to secure the position at an interview.

The CV can also be individually tailored to meet the specific requirements of the individual or the vacancy criteria.

Training - Back to Menu
As training plays a vital role in the development and employment prospects of an individual, it is important that training schemes and courses are easily accessible and meet the needs of the modern nurse. However to identify and locate the type of training course that is suitable to an individuals requirements can be a both laborious and time consuming process.

The Nurserve search engine allows access to a wide selection of training courses and organisations, which are listed and dependent upon what is most important to the individual. This allows specific results to be indicated to the person using the engine and then the details can be expanded to provide a full description.

Events Calendar - Back to Menu
The event calendar shows any nursing events that may be of interest to nurses visiting the site. The calendar allows a quick month by month scan of the up and coming events at a local, regional, national and international level. Organisations who advertise with Nurserve receive a free placement service to list open days, seminars and associated interests.

Associated Services - Back to Menu
As nurses have special interests and needs, Nurserve has identified a number of key services for nurses to access. Some of the services have improved rates for nursing staff, while others provide a single point of contact to answer any questions an individual may need answering. Nurses are therefore able to compare quotes and make informed choices, dependent on their own personal requirements. Organisations advertising their services are guaranteed a captive audience and if their target consumer group is nurses, will have the opportunity to maximise the interest shown in their service.

Contact Listing - Back to Menu
The contact listing details a number of different contact points from which further information can be obtained. Many of the contact points relate to nursing organisations and web sites enabling individuals access to the relevant information they require. Nurserve has also included a variety of general interest contacts with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, where all details are conveniently located on one page.

As part of our commitment to providing an extensive information site, organisations that work with Nurserve will be able to enter any useful contacts on to the listing once approval has been gained from Nurserve.

Future Development - Back to Menu
Through the development of future services the Nurserve site will improve the level of information that is contained within the various categories. However improvements will need to be made if Nurserve is to continue providing the nursing profession with the information and services that are required over the long term.

Nurserve welcomes any ideas or information on how to improve the Nurserve site or the information that is contained on any of the pages. Any feed back from the nursing profession or those organisations that use the Nurserve service will be considered and gratefully received. Please send any ideas either by e-mail or to the Nurserve address.
