School Nursing : A leg up

    Author: SNStudent
Subject: A leg up
Posted: 08 May 2012 at 9:14am

Hi everyone,

I'm a nurse doing the School Nursing degree in Preston at the min. It's absolutely killing me to do it full-time, probably because I keep failing everything so I've got twice as much work to do when I have to write everything twice. I get all the supervision in the world and I just don't seem to be able to get what they want from me. Luckily, my practice is great according to my mentor so no-one's too worried.

So... a couple of things. Firstly, I just wanted to share commisserations with anyone who's going through similar things? Also, I've just bought a kindle book - 'passing on the wisdom' which has been a bit of a saviour. It's nothing amazing, just a collection of someone's essays with a comical intro n conclusion. But for me, just to be able to see a decent writing style and how a good essay's structured has made all the difference. I have hope! haha

Is anyone going through a similar thing?

xx

Nurses do have jobs and many more nurses are needed. Nurses own land, I have a house paid for and 2 acreages, all paid for by my wife and I working.

There are more opportunities in nursing to move up or laterally.
I think its a great profession, but then I'v only done it for 36 years
