 Description Research Nurse Manager, London Band 8a Salary £44,046 - £51,676 EXPERT NURSE MANAGER LEADING EDGE RESEARCH This challenging and innovative Research Nurse Manager job will offer you the chance to demonstrate your specialist knowledge, expertise and leadership skills in a pioneering research environment. Based in central London, you will work in The Cardiovascular Biomedical Research Unit as part of a NHS Trust with a reputation as a world leader in its field. You will be part of leading-edge, trans-disciplinary research on cardiac regeneration, including stem cell and gene treatment for heart failure, cardiovascular genetics and high-technology cardiac imaging. As Research Nurse Manager you will organise, support and maintain the unit's team of research nurses via administration and general management, ensuring the smooth running of the research programmes. Additional responsibilities will include; - Take overall responsibility for the day to day operational running of the team of research nurse managers, and ensure that there is adequate research nurse cover at all times - Develop and deliver coaching and training to staff on a range of research nurse related subjects such as policy and procedures. - Develop, monitor and assess systems to ensure that research is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Research Governance. - Facilitate the research study process as required, including scheduling patient admissions and undertaking the relevant patient assessment, investigations and treatments.
